🧬 Edinburgh-based MI:RNA (molecular diagnostics using biomarkers to spot veterinary disease earlier) raised $3.6m (£2.7m) to “scale more quickly, as we work to give animals longer, healthier lives.” Investors include Holstein UK, AniVC, with participation from existing investors NovaQuest, Kyoritsu Holdings Corporation, VANE, Animal Health Angels, Equity Gap, Gabriel Investment Syndicate, and Scottish Enterprise. 🔋 Edinburgh-based Loveelectric (electric vehicle salary sacrifice schemes) has been acquired by Perkbox (employee rewards and perks platform) for an undisclosed sum. Earlier this year, Loveelectric acquired Bypass (EV fuel cards). DGT BRN

💡 Glasgow City Council has launched Glasgow No-Code: Ideas2App, a new accelerator offering 20 early-stage founders £10k each to design, build and launch an MVP using no-code tools. Eligible applicants must have a Glasgow-registered company and an idea requiring bespoke software; applications are open now via the programme’s online form.
